I’ve got broadband at home at last after nearly 3 months struggle with Orange. I had to ditch them because they are so crap and register with Tiscali instead. What Orange couldn’t do, Tiscali did in just 10 days. Wow!

Moral of the story – if you want peace of mind and quality of service, stay away from “free stuffs”. You always get what you pay for – well most of the time anyway

The Bank of England has raised the interest rates by 0.25% so that now it stands at 5.25%. It is expected to increase to 5.5% by the end of 2007. What that means is that it is now much more difficult for first-time buyers to afford a home. The links below give more insight into the consequences of this interest rate increase:

And me who wanted to climb on the property ladder this year! Well it does not look very promising, does it? The average 2 bedrooms house just outside London costs £180K and with £150K you will just get a flat. Who wants a flat anyway. Well not me – i hate annoying neighbours and prefer my own space. Not even sure if i’m eligible for a £150K mortgage, what am i talking about eh? Let’s just hope i win the lottery in the coming month

So i placed an order for free broadband on the 2nd of November 2006 and because i didn’t get the internet after like 4 weeks, i placed a cancellation on the 4th of December 2006. Then on the 5th the branch manager at Orange Shop in Victoria station promised me to get me the broadband but orange staff are so dumb and incompetent that they did not action the branch’s manager request and i decided to go ahead with the cancellation so that i can switch ISP. However Orange only removed the marker on the 4th of January 2007. So i waited more than 2 months to get nowhere! Anybody out there looking for free broadband with Orange?? Refrain if you want peace of mind, that’s my advice!
